I’ve been living a nomadic life since 2017, when I made a conscious decision to follow my love for travel and explore a different way of living. At the time, I was working as a Care Assistant in Singapore, until a wake-up call changed everything. One night, after a severe bout of alcohol intoxication that ended me in the hospital, I was forced to pause and ask myself:
Is this really the life I want?
Was this all there was?
I realized just how short life really is and the thought of spending the next 60 years trapped in routine felt like a quiet death.
It didn’t sit right in my bones.
There was a deep, undeniable pull to strip away everything that no longer aligned with the life I knew I was meant to create. I had to face my inner demons and choose, again and again, to walk a path that wasn’t always easy, but always true.
I found myself in places and situations that felt like necessary initiations. Lessons in standing tall in my worth and value, especially in the face of authority.
From turning down an offer to be a Branch COO’s secretary…
To sitting across from a Singaporean Branch manager who began the meeting by saying,
“Don’t cry in front of me.”
And replying calmly, “Don’t worry. I never will.”
These moments shaped me.
They cracked me open, revealed my fire, and reminded me: I am not here to bow. I am here to rise.
And now, after years of reflection and learning to ride the waves of life, I’m saying yes again.
Yes to a new chapter.
Yes to building a life I love, one rooted in passion, presence, and truth.
